Once Delivered to the Saints
A common tactic of the false teacher is to suggest they have information that we need that our church doesn’t have. Jude is a great study on how to contend for the faith. We are told in this short letter what we have and when it was given. You and I have all the information we need to enter into eternal life. Don’t be fooled by our enemies empty promises.
Privilege is Not a Guarantee of a Positive Outcome
The Book of Jude is a call to arms, a cry to awake a sleeping Church. As we move along in our study in Jude, we come to three groups that at one time found themselves in a place of privilege. All three groups eventually crashed and burned. Why did it happen and what can we do to keep it from happening to us? Join us as we study Jude’s wake up to the church.
Profile of An Apostate
As we make our way through the book of Jude we now come to verse 8. Here, Jude who has been warning us of those who would creep into to the Church to disrupt, now tells us what kind of people they are. Jude is giving us insight on what to look for so that we might not be deceived.
Exposing Spiritual Terrorist
The successful terrorist is one who avoids detection and has anonymity up until the moment of their crime. Jude is telling us that there are spiritual terrorist that are seeking to remain hidden within our own churches. Picking our study up in verse 12, Jude now blows their cover and reveals to us exactly what we should be on the lookout for.
The Miracle of the Love of God
John closed out chapter two of 1st John by reminding us we are born of God. As he thinks of that truth, he seems to be overwhelmed that God would love the likes of us. Join us as John shares his amazement of God’s rich love for us.
The Children of God & the Children of the Devil are Revealed
In this confusing world, we can have difficulty identifying who is our friend and who is our foe. John the Apostle now leads us into a place of understanding in 1 John 3, by giving us insight concerning the family of God and the family of satan. Both of these families have certain family traits. Join us as we seek to discover an understanding of what a true Child of God looks like.
Importance of Loving the Family of God
The Apostle John has told us that one of the signs of belonging to the family of God is – you will love the family of God. But John gets very specific on what that love will look like. We will discover that the word “Church” is as much a verb as it is a noun.
The Assurance of Salvation
Where we find ourselves now in 1 John, is the Apostle gives us insight on how we can know for certain that we are the children of God. It is easy for many Christians to be convinced that we have lost our salvation. Join us as we come to the end of chapter 3 as John lays out how we know that we are of God.
Detecting Deception
If we know anything at all about the future, we know as time moves forward deceivers will increase in number within the Church. As the Apostle John writes to us in chapter four, he provides us with the tools to detect who is of the truth and who is of error. What does the Spirit of God Produce In Our Lives?
In 1 John 4 we have seen what the spirit of anti-Christ believes. Now John turns his attention to the Spirit of God. To neglect the person and the work of the Holy Spirit is to set ourselves up for certain failure. Join us as John reveals what the Holy Spirit seeks to produce in us.
