The Popularity of the Messiah

In the gospel of Matthew chapter 4, Matthew is describing Israel’s early response to Jesus Christ. Join us as we see how exciting it must have been to be a part of these large crowds gathering around the promised Messiah.

Genealogy of the Messiah

As we begin our verse-by-verse study of the New Testament, the first thing we are confronted with is seventeen verses of names. This of course is the family tree of the messiah. And what we learn is that we are not exactly looking at the best that humanity had to offer. Join us as we discover that Christ was connected to great sinners even before His birth.

The Incarnation

Finishing out chapter one of Matthew, we come to the description of the Incarnation. It is the holiest mystery in all of Scripture. This event happens for a single purpose. Join us as we look at the great reason for God becoming flesh.

Magi form the East

Matthew was a former employee of the Roman government, so it’s not surprising that he’s give us an understanding into what was happening in government at the time of the birth of Christ. Arriving at chapter two, he introduces us to a strange cast of characters. What we will learn is that much of what we believe about the birth of Christ is rooted more in tradition than in the Scripture.

Finding the Will of God

The Scriptures portray God as a God that leads. We find numerous examples of God leading nations and individuals alike. We serve a God who wants to lead us into His will for our lives. So, the question becomes, “how can we know the will of God?”. Join us as we see in Matthew chapter 2, God guiding a family into His will for their lives.

Forsaking Your Own Mercy

One of the clear messages throughout the Scripture is that if we refuse to do life God’s way, we are only shooting ourselves in our own foot. As we close chapter two, we are given examples of those who resisted God and those who submitted to God. Join us as we discover the different directions that those two attitudes will take us in.

Armageddon

The second half of Revelation nineteen gives us the great battle to usher in Christ glorious reign upon the earth. Here we see that that the greatness of our God is profound and that He has no equal. He is a God who deserves both our worship and our obedience.

The Kingdom of Christ

As we arrive at chapter 20 of Revelation, Armageddon has ended, and the Anti-Christ and the False Prophet have been disposed of. Now we learn of Satan’s incarceration. Paradise has now come to Earth. When we have prayed “Thy kingdom come”, what exactly will that mean when it finally will be materialized? Join us as we seek to understand the ramifications of the Kingdom of Christ.

Satan’s End

The Scriptures hold out the promise that the troubler of the nations will eventually be no more. Here in Revelation chapter 20, we are told how his end will come upon him. Join us as we begin to study the final stages of God restoring creation to His original intent.

Keeping the Best for Last

Coming to chapters 21 and 22 we find the completion of God’s plan for mankind. That completion is the overturning of everything that the curse has created. Join us as we look at the New Heaven and the New Earth.
