Good and Evil

If one rejects the convictions of the Holy Spirit, he cannot be forgiven. The evil Jewish leadership was incapable of seeing that Christ was good; nor could they see that He fulfilled the signs of prophecy.

Jesus is now sending out the twelve. But His people today must also see themselves as being sent out as well. We are called to be Ambassadors of Christ. In the commission of the twelve, Jesus gives instruction as to the expected behaviors of His ambassadors.  We are all called to spread the glorious message of reconciliation while being wise and harmless when opposition inevitably comes.

Being Disappointed With God

While John the Baptist was doubting and suffering in prison, Jesus considers John to be the greatest of all men. Knowing the heart of God keeps us from disillusionment and deconstruction. 

The Kingdom Rejected

From the beginning of John’s ministry, the priest Annas brought violence to the kingdom.  And the Jews were unable to receive John’s message as those who are not wise cannot be satisfied. Join us as we continue our study in Matthew 11. 

Rebuke or Rest?

Jesus rebukes the cities who will not repent. They have rejected the works of God who was living in their midst. The Lord in His sovereignty reveals His truth to the meek and there is rest for all who come to Him.
