The Passion of Christ

Here we see the deep love of God revealed as Jesus partakes of the cup of wrath for us. He the only way by which we might be saved from the consequences of our sins.

The Trial

Jesus is brought before the Sanhedrin for an illegitimate trial. The agenda is to see Him killed. Jesus warns of the judgement to come and we learn of the importance of have ones name written in the book of life.

Oil In Our Lamps

Christ continues His teaching on preparation for the coming kingdom. We learn that it is not enough to just be moral. There is necessity of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit who is likened to oil. The Holy Spirit has various roles in His relationship with mankind.

The Parable of the Talents

In this parable Jesus compares the opportunities given to each person with 16 years wages. Some will make the most of these opportunities and be rewarded double, while others will lose their opportunities because they do not know or understand Jesus at all.

Being Ready

Jesus continues with His lesson on preparation for the end. He emphasizes the importance of kindness and His views on generosity.

The Alabaster Box

Jewish leadership plots to kill Jesus and Mary anoints Jesus with oil for His burial. We are given this beautiful example of her extravagant worship that will be remembered for all time.

Jesus and the Son of Perdition

Judas sells information to the Jewish Leadership and chooses to betray Jesus when he takes the sop. The prophetic symbolism of the Passover feast is fulfilled through Christ.

The Second Coming

Jesus has given the disciples a timeline that answers their questions about the second coming. He clarifies that the day of the Lord is immediately after the tribulation when every eye will see Him coming in the clouds.

The Day and Hour

We learn that Jesus is the sign from Heaven that will mark the end of the age. The wise will understand and know the day of His coming because they are not in darkness. Jesus says “ that day” will be just as in the days of Noah and Lot who were removed immediately before wrath fell.
