Where Do We Find Rest? In the Old Testament Israel was given two “rests." They had a time of rest, the Sabbaths and they had a place of rest the Promise Land. The writer of Hebrews uses the example of ancient Israel, of those who failed to enter what God had given to them. The writer points out that these Hebrew believers in his day were about to make the same mistake.
