All of this becomes even more serious when we understand that America seems to be well on its way of forgetting God. Is the story of Christ’s rising on the third day fantasy? Or perhaps it could be legend. Many of us believe it was an historical event. If one chooses to believe that it’s historical is that a reasonable position to take? Or do we have to suspend our critical thinking to believe such a thing? There are trends all around us that present challenges to the church and its mission. We have no reason to believe these trends will lessen anytime soon. The result of all of this, can be great discouragement of heart. King David who was familiar with discouragement, has a great word of encouragement for us living today. The Mission Statement of the Messiah
Organizations frequently have what’s known as a mission statement. A mission statement is a concise statement explaining why the organization exists. Join us as we look at the birth of Christ as told to us in Matthew chapter one. Here, an Angel of the Lord informs Joseph what mission of the Messiah was to be.
