How is Faith Passed to the Next Generation?
What we see today is that Christianity is clinging to the decaying threads of past experiences. Through much of Church history, revivals have been single generation movements. However, what we find in 2nd Timothy chapter one is that God had been moving in Timothy’s family for three generations. Join us in our study as we discover what was unique about this family’s faith.
We are very good at beginnings, but not so good at finishing. The Apostle Paul wants the younger Timothy to finish well. As we close out our study of First Timothy, we are told what attitudes of the heart must be present for us to see the Will of God coming to fruition in our lives.
The Lordship of Christ

Join us in the opening verses of chapter five to see God’s will for our lives laid out in easy to understand terms.
Exercising Yourselves Unto Godliness
The Apostle in 1 Timothy 4 tells us that physical exercise profits a little. His counsel to Timothy was to make sure that Timothy was exercising his spirit. The CDC tells us that 80% of Americans don't get the recommended amounts of exercise each week. It’s a sure bet that the numbers are even worse when it comes to those in the church getting their spiritual exercise. But how does one exercise themselves spiritually? Join us as the Apostle Paul lays out a clear path for developing yourself spiritually.
Description of a Servant
The Apostle Paul continues to lay out how a church is to be organized in chapter 3 of 1st Timothy. We move from the office of an elder to now the office of a deacon. God’s Description of a Church Leader
Whenever a Church is looking for a new pastor, a Pulpit Search Committee throws around terms such as, “Visionary, Vision Caster, Dynamic, Charismatic." The focus much of the time is on ability rather than depth of character. Yet we find as the Apostle Paul describes a leader among God’s people, ability doesn’t seem to be his focus. Join us as we study 1 Timothy chapter 3 to discover what the Lord considers to be the most important qualities of a leader among His people.
The Role of Women in the Church
It seems that the church today views women’s involvement through two extreme lenses. One takes the approach that women are to be barefoot, pregnant, and hidden from sight. The other wants to turn the entire day to day operation of the church over their control. But once again we find a wonderful balance in the Word of God. Join us in our study of 1 Timothy, as we find clarity when it comes to the role of women in the church.
